Theia

female Titan in Greek mythology

Theia is a Titan in Greek mythology. She is the titan of sight. Her parents are Gaia and Uranos. With her brother Hyperion her children are Helios, Selene, and Eos. She was also considered the moons eyes because Selene was her daughter and Selene was the titan of the moon.

Theia is also the name chosen by astronomers for the body (planet or huge rock) which struck the Earth and formed the Moon.[1]
