The Thermomicrobia is a group of thermophilic green non-sulfur bacteria.

The group is based on the type species Thermomicrobium roseum and on Sphaerobacter thermophilus.^[1]^[2] They are aerobic and chemoorganotrophic (a term which means their metabolism is rather like most fungi).
