Tiefencastel (Romansh: Casti) was a municipality in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. It was the capital of the Albula district. It is next to the Albula and Julier passes. In 2013, 254 people lived there.

On 1 January 2015, the municipalities of Alvaschein, Mon, Stierva, Tiefencastel, Alvaneu, Brienz/Brinzauls and Surava joined together to become the new municipality of Albula/Alvra.
