Tom Landry

American football coach and player (1924–2000)

Thomas Wade Landry (September 11, 1924 – February 12, 2000) was an American football player and coach. Landry won two Super Bowl titles (VI, XII). He was born in Mission, Texas. He played for the New York Giants from 1950 to 1955. He coached the Dallas Cowboys 1960 to 1988.[1]

Landry died in Dallas, Texas on February 12, 2000 of leukemia at the age of 75.
