Toni Bertorelli
Italian actor (1948-2017)
Toni Bertorelli (18 March 1948 – 26 May 2017) was an Italian movie and television actor. He performed in over sixty movies from 1971 through 2016. He was born in Barge, Piedmont. His roles in Death of a Neapolitan Mathematician and Marco Tullio Giordana's Who Killed Pasolini? made his popular in Italy. He was known for his role as Annas ben Seth in Mel Gibson's 2004 movie The Passion of the Christ.
From 2016 until his death, Bertorelli played the role as Cardinal Caltanissetta in the 2016 television series The Young Pope alongside Jude Law and James Cromwell.
Bertorelli died at a hospital in Rome, Italy from complications of pancreatic cancer at the age of 69.[1]
