Anthony Joseph Accardo (/əˈkɑːrdoʊ/; born Antonino Leonardo Accardo, Italian: [antoˈniːno leoˈnardo akˈkardo]; April 28, 1906 – May 22, 1992), also known as "Joe Batters" and "Big Tuna",[1] was an American longtime mobster. He was the boss of the Chicago Outfit from 1947 until 1972.
