The band formed in 2007 and consists of three main members; Alex Trimble, Kevin Baird and Sam Halliday. Trimble and Halliday met while attending Bangor Grammar School. The two later met Kevin Baird while he was flirting with girls who Trimble and Halliday knew. On 18 January 2011, the band appeared on the American late night talk show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, performing the song, "What You Know". The song would go on to become the biggest hit of the 2010 album "Tourist History".
