The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is a public, coeducational university in Charlotte, North Carolina. The university has about 24,700 students. It was started in 1946. The current chancellor of the university is Dr. Phillip L. Dubois.
Sports
changeThe athletics teams of the university are called the Charlotte 49ers. They have 16 varsity teams, most of which compete in the American Athletic Conference (The American).
Shooting
changeOn April 30, 2019, a mass shooting happened at the university in which two people were killed and four other people were hurt.[1][2]
