Degree in Information Sciences (branch of journalism) from the Complutense University of Madrid (class of 1982-87). In 1997 he completed a master's degree in Community Law and Common Policies of the European Union at the Diplomatic School . [1] Rocío Castrillo began her professional career at the Huelva Información newspaper and worked as a reporter for various national media outlets: ABC, El Mundo, Época, Tribuna de Actualidad y Cambio 16 and RTVE, among others. [2] It has more than 200 covers published in the Spanish press and several of its articles appear in newspapers and periodicals internationally, [1] also in some international organizations for the defense of freedoms and human rights such as Equipo Nizkor . [3] Among them, "Be careful, the Empire is spying on us", about the North American espionage network ECHELON or "The Sahara is preparing for war", which caused Moroccan censorship and the withdrawal of number 1528 of the Cambio 16 magazine in Morocco . [3] His extensive career has also led him to collaborate in other publications such as the newspaper Ya, the Spanish news agency Servimedia, the digital magazine ACtitud50 and in the communication department of Unicef Spain. [2] His first novel was A Mansion in Prague, (2013, Discoverbooks). The second novel, Ellas y El Sexo (2014, Sial Pigmalión), [4] a work that was awarded at the 73rd edition of the Madrid Book Fair with the 2014 Escriduende Award for the author with the most media coverage. [5] In 2016, he published his third novel, At the End of the Earth, on Amazon . [6] His fourth work, 151 slashes (Pábilo Editorial, 2019) is a non-fiction novel about Almonte's double crime, inspired by the classic In Cold Blood, by Truman Capote. [7] A work that raised a strong controversy before being published, due to the threats of rape and death that the author received after her intervention on a television program to talk about the book and the case. It took him a year to write this book. [2]
