=== Blind Vision is a book that narrates the creative journey of Neapolitan visual artist Annalaura di Luggo (1970) who from November 2016 through April 2017 worked with 20 people from U.I.C.I (Italian Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired) and the Istituto Paolo Colosimo of Naples, to explore through physical and tactile approaches, the inner universe of individuals who use an alternative way to perceive the world. The interactions inspired the documentary Blind Vision, directed by Italian filmmaker Nanni Zedda.

As a result of the experience of Blind Vision, Annalaura di Luggo created a multimedia installation, and the sculpture Essence, conceived to be perceived by the visually impaired. Photographer Sergio Siano captured Annalaura di Luggo’s interactions with the participants at this project, and a selection of these ‘scene photos’ were part of the exhibition “A Journey of Light.” The three projects were exhibited at Istituto Paolo Colosimo of Naples from April 27 to May 31, 2017 in a presentation curated by Raisa Clavijo.

For many years, artist Annalaura di Luggo focused her artistic research on rediscovering and emphasizing the uniqueness of each human being using social research techniques and the macrophotography of the iris as the symbol of identity in her iconography.

The creative project Blind Vision aims to sensitize the whole community towards those who have been deprived of sight in order to promote social and cultural integration. ===
