History change
2009–12: Ambassadors and Litost change
The band was started in 2009. They originally used the name "Ambassadors". They went on tour with many other bands, including the band LIGHTS. X Ambassadors released Ambassadors EP during this time. They released an LP called Litost shortly after. X Ambassadors signed a publishing deal with SONGS Music Publishing in 2012.[1]
2013–14: Love Songs Drug Songs and The Reason change
X Ambassadors released their first EP on a major label in 2013. This EP is called Love Songs Drug Songs. The EP featured a song that was co-written by Dan Reynolds.[2] Dan Reynolds is the lead singer of the band Imagine Dragons. X Ambassadors released another EP in 2014. This new EP was called The Reason. The band went on tour with Panic! at the Disco in the same year.
2015–16: VHS change
X Ambassadors released their first album on June 30, 2015. This album is called VHS. VHS has 20 songs on it. 7 of the songs are audio from VHS tapes from the lead singers childhood. Those 7 songs are called interludes. Two songs feature other musicians. The musicians are Imagine Dragons and Jamie N Commons.
A special version of VHS was released on June 10, 2016. This version is called VHS 2.0. VHS 2.0 has 5 additional songs and doesn’t have the interludes.
Noah Feldshuh announced he would be taking a break from the band on June 20, 2016.[3]
2017–present: Joyful and Orion change
X Ambassadors released 4 songs in 2017. These 4 songs are called "Hoping", "Torches", "Ahead of Myself", and "The Devil You Know".[4] The band was featured in a song by Eminem.
X Ambassadors released a song called "Joyful" on January 26, 2018.[5] Later that day, they announced that they would be making another album. People could pre-order the album on X Ambassadors' website.[6]
