I'm sure you are an experienced user and might know all the benefits of editing with a registered account, but as a note, it is much easier to warn users, watch pages, and receive thanks from others when you're editing with an account (even if it's an alternate account you may be using). We have to use the numerical IP address to identify them. An IP address can be shared by many people. If you feel that things said here are not about you, you can create an account or log in to stop it happening again.
