Goblinbot false alarm
Hey BG7, long time no speak. Just a quickie, this edit shows a false positive because of a track called Die You Bastard. Thought you might like to think about updating the rules on the bot... Hope all is well. The Rambling Man (talk) 11:31, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
- Hey Rambly, I'm well thanks - want my A2 levels to disappear so I can write some articles! Thanks for dropping me a note about the false positive. Unfortunately, there isn't really anything that can be done in this instance to stop it from happening again. "Bastard" is one of the more common vandalism patterns that the bot picks up, so I'd be apprehensive to remove it from the heuristics or change how it is treated - despite the fact it's also probably one of the most 'legitimate' 'bad' words to be used, due to the word's original meaning. Please do remember that the rules are ignored by users over a certain threshold too (Believe it's registered users with over 50 edits), so it normally only affects new users and IPs. - No problem. It probably will occur so irregularly that it's not worth worrying about, just thought I'd mention it if it was any easy fix, but I guess it's not. Cheers! The Rambling Man (talk) 13:10, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
- Exactly - better for it to be brought up than ignored, so thanks for reporting. After exams I will probably take a further look at it as I want to make some heuristic changes (And general changes) to the bot, but we'll see! Goblin 14:51, 1 May 2011 (UTC) I ♥ Bsadowski1!

FYI, I put Category:Tube stations in Westminster in Category:Transport in Westminster. Articles should not have a category, than another parent/subcategory of that category. --SEPTActaMTA8235 19:36, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
- I'm aware of how the category system works, however there is no rule against being categorised as you have said, particularly when they are both the most appropriate categories for the articles. The articles are not only tube stations, but also bus interchanges, rail interchanges and just transport hubs in general - one category on its own would not be adequate, sufficient or appropriate, and so both are required and are also, technically, different category branches - one's on the 'Underground' line whilst the other is on the 'Transport in London', 'Transport in England' etc line. If you feel that strongly about it then bring it up somewhere, but considering I've been doing it this way since October 2008, I some how think it's 'right'. (Considering the Tube's my specialist subject 'n' all.) Goblin 20:51, 4 May 2011 (UTC) I ♥ Belinda!
False positive delete tagging
Hey BG7 :). You probably noticed already, but per the bot's message to let you know here's a false positive deletion tag it added. Cheers, Grunny (talk) 13:40, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- Cheers Grunny, hadn't noticed that one. Appears to be the inclusion of the word 'Fuck' by a user below the autoconfirmed threshold - not all that much we can do unfortunately as it's a pretty common (And useful) inclusion, but we are looking to overhaul the heuristics system in the near future so will see what we can do to fix it up. Thanks again, Goblin 20:55, 9 May 2011 (UTC) I ♥ Juliancolton!
