Regarding your block at the English Vikidia. change

Hi. I saw your message, and wish to make it quite clear that you *know* already, the reason you were blocked there. If you don't, I suggest you read your userpage at the site. You were identified as a sock of a well known long term abuser. Like wikipedia, we don't allow users who have been blocked for abuse of their account or vandalism, to open new accounts. The only exception is if your account is blocked because your username isn't acceptable. I hope that makes things clear. DaneGeld (talk) 18:16, 21 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Yes, and I am not a sockpuppet of dovesmith123, by the way Greenpickles987 (talk) 18:15, 22 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

As I said, you were identified as a sock of that particular LTA. I will ask for it to be reviewed, since you say you're not a sock of that user, but until I can raise a CU to redo that request, you will remain blocked there. DaneGeld (talk) 12:55, 26 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
@DaneGeld: I mean why I got accused of being a sockpuppet anyway? I am not dovesmith123. Greenpickles987 (talk) 23:41, 26 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Harassing users on this project about something that happened on another project will get you blocked here in short order. This is your only warning. Operator873 connect 00:01, 27 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Operator873:I am definitely not harassing a user. Are you blind or something? Greenpickles987 (talk) 00:23, 27 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
You followed a user to this project from another project to discuss a block. That's not allowed. Full stop. There is no further room for discussion. Operator873 connect 00:40, 27 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Operator873: Respectfully, I am happy to discuss the matter with the user. I do not consider it harassment and frankly, I don't think you should either. It's not a problem if the user wishes to speak with me - they were already on this project, as was I, they haven't "followed" me here for anything. DaneGeld (talk) 19:49, 28 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

@DaneGeld: I'm glad you said so. Since their 2nd edit on this project was to your talk page asking about a block on another project, it's not a far leap to assume they followed you here. Further, it is definitely a form of harassment to follow sysops to other projects to continue arguing a case. A block on a project should only be discussed on that project. That's why blocks leave talk page access intact on the blocked project and revocation of talk page access is a significant, and final, step against an editor. This is not a policy made up by me and is commonly practiced across all projects. If you're willing to engage with this editor, then have at it... But the discussion about another project's block should probably happen on that project. Example, meta doesn't allow enwiki unblock arguments and enwiki doesn't allow meta unblock arguments.
