Just because an good edit was made by a bot not logged in, it doesn't mean you have to remove it and then add it in again with your own bot. This only increases the server load. To see a discussion about the IP, go here - tholly --Turnip-- 17:05, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, well, actually, that was my bot, two times. The pywikipedia-bots sometimes get logged out, while it thinks it's logged in. (Probably it has something to do with the SUL and old login data) Today I was adding interwikis and my bot kept asking me for the password for the 'simple'-language. Although I typed it correctly, and the bot accepted it, I saw the edits here were done under an IP, and not by my bot-account (User:TuvicBot). Because my bot kept making IP-edits, I had to remove all the login-data for the bot. Afterwards, I reverted the edit by my not-logged-in bot at 1928 Summer Olympics, to redo the edit, just to check if my bot was logged in. I chose 1928 Summer Olympics, just because I had already corrected that in all the other wiki's, and so this article was the only one to fix, and I could check if the bot behaved nicely again.
