Hello WordSeventeen. I thought that I would ask you how to correctly cite a source on this site. Thanks in advanceHiretsuna de~yuo (talk) 18:05, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
- hello Hiretsuna de~yuo,
- I fixed up the code to put the cite, and I listed the three types in a bullet list. I put the cite at the end of the word mashup, Try clicking on it now though because I am getting a 404 message that says the reference page is not there. Find the page again on the internet. When you have the page you want, copy the url of the page, and put that one down instead of the url that is there now. The cite format looks better now. Just get the exact web address, and substitute it for what is in the cite note now. Great work, by the way. Welcome again to Simple English. If you have any more questions just ask them here, and I will try to help you. Best regards! Happy editing! WordSeventeen (talk) 18:24, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, I had to revert that edit because you seemed to break the citeweb template. It would be best to archive the latest stable version from archive.org, that's what I do when I get a 404 from a reference. Thanks! George Edward C – Talk – Contributions 18:28, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
- Your assessment of what you thought I was doing is unfortunately incorrect. I did not break the cite web way of formatting the reference. I was changing the style of the formatting. Please get the fact straight. btw, why are you editing and moving things around within my userpage spaces? (meaning my user page and talk page. Please feel free to post any questions, or ask for help on an article. Do not ever change, edit, or move anything around on my user page. That is sort of an unwritten rule around here, no? If you feel the need, then switch things around on your own user page. btw, your user page looks good! Best regards, Happy editing! WordSeventeen (talk) 19:00, 17 November 2014 (UTC)

- My apoligies, this seems to be a large misunderstanding, feel free to revert me if I do something that you are particularly unhappy with. I can assure you that all of these actions were made in good faith, and I did not mean harm. George Edward C – Talk – Contributions 19:48, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
