V for Vendetta
graphic novel by Alan Moore and David Lloyd
V for Vendetta is a ten-issue graphic comic book series from DC Comics and Vertigo, written by Alan Moore and illustrated mostly by David Lloyd. It is set in a dystopian future United Kingdom imagined from the 1980s about the 1990s, which has become a totalitarian fascist dictatorship. The protagonist and title character, known simply as "V", is an anarchist who intends to lead a revolution and bring down the fascist state. It was published from 1982 to 1988.
In 2005, it was made into a movie with the same name. Unlike in the comic book, the movie takes place in 2020. There are also a few differences from the comic book.
