Vaitheeswaran Koil

Vaitheeswaran Koil is a Hindu temple in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.[2] The temple is dedicated to the Shiva. Shiva is worshipped as Vaidyanathar or Vaitheeswaran meaning the "God of healing". It is believed that prayers to Vaitheeswaran can cure diseases. Vaitheeswaran is a Tamil derivative from vaidya (Doctor) and Ishvara (God/Master). The temple is one of the nine Navagraha (nine planets) temples. It is associated with the planet Mars (Angaraka).
