Vikki Carr

Mexican-American recording artist; singer, actress

Florencia Vicenta de Casillas-Martinez Cardona[1] (born July 19, 1941), known by her stage name Vikki Carr, is an American singer. Her singing career has lasted several decades.[2] She works in a variety of music genres, including pop, jazz and country music.[3] Her greatest success, however, comes from singing in the Spanish language.[4]

Carr has won three Grammy Awards. She was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Latin Grammy Awards.

Carr was born to parents of Mexican ancestry.

Many sources say Carr was born in 1940. Other sources say that she was born in 1941.[source?]
