Vital Vegas shares information about Las Vegas, including hotels, restaurants, shows and casinos.[7][8][9][10] It gives readers updates on entertainment and hospitality in the city.[11][12][13][14] In 2013, Vital Vegas was named the "Best Business Blog" in the Las Vegas Digital Media Awards.[15]

In 2020, Sahara Las Vegas sued Scott Roeben for reporting a sourced rumor the casino could close due to its financial struggles.[16][17] Roeben prevailed in the lawsuit. The case was dismissed utilizing Nevada's anti-SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation) law, a statute protecting journalists from frivolous lawsuits. Sahara appealed, but the company's efforts were unsuccessful. [18]
