Volkskammer

parliament of the GDR (East Germany)

The Volkskammer (German: [ˈfɔlkskamɐ], People's Chamber) was the unicameral legislature of the German Democratic Republic (colloquially known as East Germany).[1] It was a bicameral legislature with a senate but was dissolved in 1952. This legislature was disbanded on October 3, 1990 and replaced by the Bundestag.
