Wahpeton (/ˈwɑːpɪtən/ WAH-pit-ən) is a city in Richland County, in southeastern North Dakota, United States. It is on the Bois de Sioux River. Wahpeton is the county seat of Richland County.[1] The population was 7,766 at the 2010 Census.
