Wes Wise

American mayor

Wes Wise (born 1929) is an American politician and sports journalist. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was, from 1971 to 1976, a three-term Mayor of Dallas, Texas.[1][2]

During his two terms as mayor of Dallas, Wise guided Dallas from under the cloud of the assassination and at the same time saved the Texas School Book Depository from imminent destruction, preserving it for further research into the president's murder.[3]
