Whitey Von Nieda

American basketball player (1922-2023)

Stanley Lee "Whitey" Von Nieda Jr. (June 19, 1922 – September 6, 2023[1]) [2] is an American retired professional basketball player and coach. He was born in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. In 1950, he began playing for the National Basketball Association with the Baltimore Bullets.

Von Nieda turned 100 in June 2022, making him the first NBA player to reach 100 years of age.[3]
