Whitney North Seymour Jr.

American politician (1923-2019)

Whitney North Seymour Jr. (July 7, 1923 – June 29, 2019) was an American Republican politician and attorney. He was in the New York State Senate from 1966 to 1968 and as United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 1970 to 1973. He also co-founded the Natural Resources Defense Council. He was born in Huntington, West Virginia.

Seymour Jr. died on June 29, 2019 at a hospital in Torrington, Connecticut at the age of 95.[1]
