Change to CC-BY-SA dual license change

I have archived this page to make room for discussion the change to dual license with CC-BY-SA. EhJJTALK 18:28, 5 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Copy from Wikitravel OK? change

Just want to check, I think it is OK, but is copying (with proper attribution, of course) from Wikitravel [1] OK? They are Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0, but not GFDL. Some of the Understand or History sections there might make a better start for a Simple Article than some of the really in-depth articles on enWP. Thanks! Sorry for the delayed reply. Yes, copying a CC-BY-SA 3.0 source is acceptable. The only requirement is that you a) properly cite the source, and b) state in the change summary that it is a CC-BY-SA source and is not licenced under GFDL. It will be up to people who reuse our content to make sure they check the page history to see if any non-GFDL content has ever been added. For a complete explanation, you may want to read the en.wikipedia equivalent to this page at en:Wikipedia:Copyrights. EhJJTALK 10:40, 1 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, EhJJ. I gave it a try to get the Shikoku page started. I hope the note in the change log is done correctly. Ted O'Neill (talk) 00:17, 2 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
