Windows Live Essentials
Windows Live Essentials is a discontinued collection of office software developed and published by Microsoft. It was released on August 25, 2006. Platform that supported it were Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. It was no longer available for Windows 8.1 in 2013. Windows Live Essentials was officially discontinued on January 10, 2017.

Windows Live Essentials 2011 was released on November 10, 2010 for Windows 7, replacing Windows Live Essentials 2009.

Windows Live Essentials 2012 was released on January 7, 2012 for Windows 8.
Discontinuation change
In January 8, 2014, Microsoft announced all Windows Live programs had reached the end of their support lifecycles. In January 5, 2015. Windows Live Photo Gallery and Windows Live Mail was discontinued for Windows Vista. All Windows Live Essentials programs are discontinued as of January 10, 2017.
