The Book of Wisdom is a book of the Bible. It is part of the Catholic and Orthodox Biblical canon. It was put forward by the Council of Carthage in 397. It was confirmed by Catholic leaders at the Council of Trent in 1546.

The book was written by a Jew in ancient Egypt in the 1st century BC. It talks about the importance of learning wisdom, describes how foolish the life without wisdom is, shows how wisdom played a role in the life of Old Testament figures like Adam, Noah and Abraham, and shows how God's wisdom affected the history of the Israelites during events like the Exodus out of Egypt.
