Hanif Bayat founded Wowa in 2018 and is the CEO.[1] At first, Wowa operated in Ontario, creating an online marketplace for real estate agents, where users could compare fees and experiences.[4][5] Later, it added services like mortgage rate calculators and more real estate information.[6] In early 2020, Wowa expanded to other parts of Canada, including British Columbia.[7]

In September 2020, Wowa launched its services in the USA under the name casaplorer.com.[8] By early 2022, Wowa had around 500 tools and pages to help users compare real estate rates.[6] Wowa's housing market reports have been featured in major Canadian media outlets, including CTV News.[9][10]
