Zdeněk Mézl

Zdeněk Mézl (31 October 1934 – 23 May 2016) was an Czech print-maker and writer. He was known for his illustrations. He was born in Prague.
He studied at the College of Applied Arts between 1949 and 1953 and later graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, Prague.[1] Mézl has illustrated some books using traditional woodcut engraving.[2] His published books are "A Battle for Cathedral" or "Hey, Slavs!".
Mézl died on 23 May 2016 in Prague from a heart attack, aged 81.
