Édouard Philippe
Édouard Charles Philippe (born 28 November 1970) is a French lawyer and politician. He was the Prime Minister of France from 15 May 2017 to 3 July 2020.

Philippe is a member of the Union for a Popular Movement, later the Republicans. He has served as a member of the National Assembly representing the 7th constituency of Seine-Maritime since 2012, as well as mayor of Le Havre and president of the agglomeration community of Le Havre since 2010.
On 15 May 2017, President Emmanuel Macron appointed him Prime Minister.[1] He resigned on 3 July 2020. Two days later, he became Mayor of Le Havre.
In September 2024, Philippe announced his candidacy for President of France in the upcoming 2027 election.[2]
