Ethiopian politician (1969-2014)

Alemayehu Atomsa (Amharic: አለማየው ፡ አቶምሳ; 12 February 1969 – 6 March 2014) was an Ethiopian politician. He served as the president of the Oromo Region, the largest of the country's regions, from 2010 until he resgined due to illness in 2014. He was born in Bonaya Boshe, Welega.

Atomsa died from food poisoning on 6 March 2014 at the Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. He was 45 years old.[1]
