Google Play (also known as Play store) is a platform by Google. It is a online store for music, books, movies and a few million Android applications. Google formed it in March 2012 by merging four different stores:
- Android Market, the oldest, was started in October 2008
- Google Music
- Google Books
- Google Movies.
