On 26 February, the Russian 22nd Army advanced north from Crimea and began approaching the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.[1][2] The plant was set on fire and attacked by Russian forces on 3 March.[3][4][5] June 18, 2023 Russian official and blogger confirms that Ukraine forces have captured the village of Piatykhatky on the western edge of the Zaporizhzhia front. Ukraine didn't initially make a statement, but released video footage of drone strikes on Russian vehicles and troops in the area, as well as Ukrainian infantry and tanks advancing along the front.
