Bird is a 1988 American biographical movie. It was both directed and produced by Clint Eastwood. Bird was released on September 30, 1988. The movie is about the life and music of jazz saxophonist Charlie "Bird" Parker.

The movie got positive reviews from critics. It has a 78% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.[3] The movie won an Academy Award for Best Sound,[4] a Golden Globe Award for Best Director, and Forest Whitaker won Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival.[5]
