Carl Djerassi
American chemistry professor, inventor, author, playwright (1923–2015)
Carl Djerassi (October 29, 1923 – January 30, 2015) was a Bulgarian-Austrian-American chemist, novelist, and playwright. He was best known for his work to develop a oral contraceptive pills and the use of physical methods in organic chemistry.
