Some time around 2015 the website split into a music sales site, with the German charts housed at offiziellecharts.de, and the chart identifier "Germany2" was made to create references to this URL. By 2018, the chart functionality at musicline.de ceased to be independently available, rendering the identifier "Germany" obsolete. Additionally, the chart identifier "West Germany" was created to make references to offiziellecharts.de for chart peaks prior to German reunification, the only difference being that the chart is labeled as "West Germany" rather than "Germany".
