Charles J. Pedersen

Charles John Pedersen (October 3, 1904 – October 26, 1989) was an American chemist. He received the 1987 Nobel Prize in Chemistry together with Donald James Cram and Jean-Marie Lehn. He specialized in organic chemistry.

Pedersen had a Norwegian father and a Japanese mother. He was born in Busan, Korea and died in Salem, New Jersey.
