Cindy Sherman

Cynthia Morris Sherman (born January 19, 1954) is an American artist and photographer. Her work is mainly about photographic self-portraits.

Works
changeHer first famous work is often said to be the collected "Untitled Film Stills". The Untitled Film Stills is a series of 70 black-and-white photographs of herself doing typical women roles in performance media. In the 1980s, she used color film and large prints. She focused more on costume, lighting and facial expression.
Honors
changeSherman was given the MacArthur Fellowship in 1995.[1] She was given an honorary doctorate degree from the Royal College of Art, London, in 2013.[2]
