It went to number 1 in Australia, Canada, the Netherlands and the United States, number 2 in Ireland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, number 3 in Belgium and South Africa, number 5 in Switzerland, number 8 in Norway, number 9 in Austria and number 13 in Germany. It has been covered by Dwight Yoakam.
