Cryotherapy chamber is an individual, tube-shaped device to provide cryotherapy for human body.[1] This is a type of low-temperature treatment used to reduce inflammation and painful effects.[2][3]

In the late 1970s the cryotherapy chamber was developed by Japanese scientist Toshima Yamaguchi.[4][5]

In the 1980s and 1990s it was introduced to Europe and USA.[6][7][8]
