Dana Thomas Carvey (born June 2, 1955) is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He is best known for his work as a cast member on Saturday Night Live. He is also known for playing the role of Garth Algar in the Wayne's World movies series.

Carvey was born on June 2, 1955 in Missoula, Montana. He studied at College of San Mateo and at the University of San Francisco. Carvey was married to Leah Carvey from 1979 until they divorced in 1980. He married Paula Zwagerman in 1983. They have two sons.
