David Akers-Jones

British colonial administrator (1927-2019)

Sir David Akers-Jones KBE (Chinese: 鍾逸傑 爵士, 14 April 1927 – 30 September 2019) was a British retired colonial administrator. He was the Chief Secretary of Hong Kong from 1985 to 1987, and was briefly Acting Governor of Hong Kong from December 1986 through April 1987. Akers-Jones was born in Worthing, Sussex.

Akers-Jones died on 30 September 2019 at a hospital in Hong Kong from colon cancer at the age of 92.[1][2]
