A daytime running lamp or daytime running light is an automotive lighting and bicycle lighting device on the front of a road motor vehicle or bicycle,[1] They come on when the vehicles handbrake has been pulled down or engaged in-gear, showing a white, yellow, or amber light. Their use is to help other road users identify an active vehicle.[2]
