Democratic Governors Association
The Democratic Governors Association (DGA) is a Washington, D.C. based 527 organization. It started in 1983. Members are U.S. state and territorial governors who are also members of the Democratic Party.
The mission of the organization is to create party support to the election and re-election of Democratic governors. There is a similar Republican organization called the Republican Governors Association. The DGA is not directly connected with the non-partisan National Governors Association.
