Eddie Boyd
American blues pianist
Edward Riley Boyd (later Eddie Boyd; November 25, 1914 – July 13, 1994) was an American blues pianist. He wrote and recorded the songs "Five Long Years" (1952) "24 Hours" (1953) and "Third Degree" (also 1953).[1]
He later moved to Europe because he was tired of the racial discrimination in the United States.
He was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi. He died in Helsinki, Finland.
