Eva Clayton

American politician

Eva McPherson Clayton (born September 16, 1934) is an American Democratic politician. When she was elected to the United States House of Representatives in 1992, Clayton became the first African American to represent North Carolina in the House since 1898.[1] She retired from politics in 2003.
