The name, Fjälkinge, may mean "steep hill".[1]
Fjälkinge Church is a Romanesque-style church with paintings made in the 1200s.
Olof Hanson, an American building designer, was born in Fjälkinge in 1862. His family moved to Willmar, Minnesota in 1875.[2]
