Gil Cisneros

United States Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness

Gilbert Ray Cisneros Jr. (born February 12, 1971)[1] is an American philanthropist and former politician. Cisneros is the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness since 2021. He was the U.S. Representative for California's 39th congressional district from 2019 to 2021. He is a member of the Democratic Party.[2] He lost his re-election in his 2020 by former California State Assembly member Young Kim.
