Grant McBride

New South Wales politician

Grant Anthony McBride (29 December 1949 – 12 February 2018) was an Australian politician. He was born in Sydney. McBride was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly representing the electorate of The Entrance on the New South Wales Central Coast for the Australian Labor Party from 1992 to 2011.

McBride in 2010

In May 2007, McBride was appointed Assistant Speaker of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly. On 8 November 2010, McBride announced that he would not run in the 2011 state election.[1][2]

McBride died in Sydney of Alzheimer's disease on 12 February 2018 at the age of 68.[3][4]
